  1. Soak raw rice for about 3-4 hours
  2. Grind the soaked rice with half a cup of grated coconut
  3. Add grated bottle gourd and add salt
  4. Grease the cooker container with oil
  5. Pour the rice and bottle gourd batter into the container
  6. Put the container in the cooker and steam for 20 minutes
  7. After steaming the batter, leave it to cool down for sometime
  8. Once it cools down, cut it into pieces
  9. Serve it with coconut chutney
