Tomato is considered both as a fruit and a vegetable. Tomatoes are grown in all countries across the globe and there are numerous cultivators. Tomatoes are used for cooking as well as for various beauty treatments. 

The health benefits of tomatoes include vitamin A, vitamin C, Vitamin K as well as significant amounts of Vitamin B6, folate, and thiamine. They are also a good source of potassium, manganese, magnesium, phosphorus and copper. They have dietary fiber and protein.

  5. The presence of vitamin A in high quantities has been shown to reduce the effects of carcinogens found in cigarettes and can protect against lung cancer.
